Food Quality
As conventional agriculture becomes more focused on mass-production and quantity, many people are highlighting the importance of the quality and character of food. This includes aspects such as small artisan producers of local specialities, biologically active foods such as raw milk cheese, organic food and other high quality products. Food Quality and Safety is a high priority under the research programs of European Union, and Colin Sage , a director of Eco Innovation, works mainly on issues of food quality and food politics. He is also involved in the Slow Food movement, which tries to provide an alternative paradigm to the ubiquitous Fast Food chains.
