Diliny De Alwis
Diliny De Alwis is a Chemical Engineer currently pursuing PhD studies at REMEDI (National University of Ireland - Galway) in Galway, Ireland.
Her interest in the environment and social issues began at an early age and her well-rounded interests have led her down many interesting pathways. Growing up in Toronto, Canada, she was interested in activities including planting trees, raising funds for various charities, and attending Earth Day conferences and the like.
Diliny has recently taken a position as one of the Directors for Eco-Innovation. She hopes to aid in drawing collaborators, funds, and further research projects together for Eco-Innovation. She also takes an active role as a content moderator and blogger for the Eco-Innovation website.
Residing in Galway, her recent and current activities include volunteer work for the Galway Sri Lanka Project, GSPCA, and Age Action - Ireland. She also enjoys singing in the Galway Gospel Choir and writing fantasy fiction.
