Urban Agriculture in Brussels
The Hanging Gardens of Brussels
A community rooftop garden in the heart of Brussels
Urban agriculture is a hot topic due to increasing urban populations world-wide and growing concerns about food-security. Creating space to grow food within cities offers social, economic, and environmental incentives. Please click on the abstract below to learn more about urban agriculture.
Our project involves creating a rooftop vegetable garden which will include greenhouses, raised beds, a community kitchen & workshop space, compost, and composting toilets.
